Frostburg State University will host the annual Western Maryland STEM Festival to reinvigorate the interest of the area’s youth in science, technology, engineering and math, in FSU’s Frampton Hall and Compton Science Center. The event is free and open to K-12 students in public or private schools and their parents.
Students and parents will have the opportunity to learn about various topics, including robotics and forensics, and engage in hands-on, fun science activities such as ping-pong and making bouncy balls and slime.
Event presenters will include professors from FSU and the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science Appalachian Laboratory, as well as representatives from local businesses.
