Schedule a Visit for Your School
Applications for the 2021/22 school year are closed.
Selection of schools will occur in mid-June.
Learning Undefeated offers week-long mobile laboratory visits for Texas schools in all 20 education regions, serving students in grades K-8. Scheduling for schools begins online on April 12. Priority scheduling will be given to schools in rural communities with 70% or more of the student population eligible for free and reduced meals (FARM). Any remaining weeks will be open to any Texas public school that serves grades K-8.
Learning Undefeated receives many mobile lab requests each year. One school in each education service center region will be selected for a visit based on:
- Rural location, as designated by TEA
- A large number of student population FARM eligible; 70% or higher is the highest priority
- A significant student population identified as English language learners
- Schools previously scheduled for visits canceled due to the 2020 pandemic
- Date of request
Scheduling Timeline
Learning Undefeated staff will connect with the main school contact via email confirming school visit and date selected. Once notified, the main contact will have two weeks to accept their school visit. If the visit is not confirmed within that period, the visit will be given to the next eligible school.
Five weeks prior to school visit:
Schools will receive a reminder email about their approaching visit date as well as additional copies of checklists and scheduling materials.
A pre-visit meeting will be scheduled with all participating and interested teachers at this time.
Four weeks prior to school visit:
Pre-visit meetings should be scheduled with Learning Undefeated staff.
Three weeks prior to school visit:
Schools provide Learning Undefeated staff with proposed class schedule, list of activities and student numbers for each session.
