Manufacturing
The process used to manufacture a biotech product is of critical importance to its outcome. A product must be replicated over and over and over in the exact fashion of its original discovery to be useful. Working in biotech requires individuals to be highly organized and extremely detail oriented.
Positions in manufacturing include engineers who help design the manufacturing facility, instrumentation technicians who ensure the reliability of the machines used to manufacture the product, quality assurance staff whose job is to assure that every step of the manufacturing process conforms to the necessary standards, as well as equipment operators whose responsibilities include running the machines that manufacture the product.
