Entrepreneurship

For some, there is a certain excitement in taking the initiative to start something from the ground floor. It takes a unique person to translate an idea or innovation into a marketable product. These individuals, called entrepreneurs, take calculated risks and assume all the responsibilities of creating their own ventures and/or enterprises, usually from a single idea.

In the bioscience industry, entrepreneurs are especially critical as discoveries can only be brought to market if someone is willing to take the risk to produce them. The success of a company can often be derived from a single person with a single idea. It is up to them to display the leadership necessary to motivate themselves and their team to achieve something that could truly change the world. Whether it’s creating the next vaccine, or discovering new genetic therapies, if you feel you have what it takes to bring a product to market, entrepreneurship may be for you!
