Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators

IMPACT > WORKFORCE

Learning Undefeated’s programs not only teach hands-on science skills, they impact student attitudes towards STEM fields of study and STEM careers. Our near-peer mentor model provides successful role models from within students’ own communities, making connections for students who may have never seen someone who looks like them be successful in a STEM career.

And it’s making a difference. After just one class with our educators…

increase in students’ belief that they can be SUCCESSFUL in a STEM career*

increase in students’ COMFORT and FLUENCY in using state-of-the-art equipment*

increase in students’ interest in pursuing a SCIENCE or TECHNOLOGY career*

“The mobile science lab was a life-changing experience for our children this summer! Josiah failed science in school last year and the science part of the STAR test as well. He was frustrated and hated science for this reason. The science lab changed his mind on the way he felt about science. Thank you for changing the lives of our children and giving them an unforgettable summer.”

JUST DO IT NOW COMMUNITY CENTER

Just one example of how our programs are moving the needle on student career choices, Learning Undefeated’s three-part Verizon explorer lab curriculum teaches students to think like an engineer through a series of design challenges. As students design, collaborate, create and build they are also discovering how to manage a budget, how to control for different environmental factors, and how engineers make tradeoffs.

This program is moving the needle on student career decisions in many ways, as students build confidence and feel empowered to access the high-paying STEM careers that will provide many opportunities and a great quality of life.
