On Saturday, November 22, almost 1,000 people attended the grand opening of the Microsoft store at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland. If you haven’t been to a Microsoft store opening, it’s a spectacle worth experiencing. The festivities included demos of the latest video games, technology exhibits, and the chance to test your Xbox skills against pitching ace, Stephen Strasberg. The event kicked off with a presentation to locally based nonprofit organizations. As part of its community partnerships program, Microsoft generously donated $50,000 to MdBio Foundation in technology and software grants. Brian Gaines, MdBio Foundation’s CEO, was on hand along with more than 20 Board, staff, and friends of the Foundation.
MdBio Foundation, will leverage the grant in the coming weeks and months to support their STEM education initiatives throughout Maryland.
