JA Inspire Career Festival

Come see MdBio at the JA Inspire career festival, an interactive experience that introduces 8th grade students to the vast variety of local career opportunities. This job awareness fair will enable students to interact with volunteers from local companies and see the connections to these careers and the high school programming options. This experiential career readiness opportunity gives middle school students access to area employers, post-secondary education opportunities, and hands-on career activities.

As an event partner, MdBio will be offering hands-on science activities onboard the Mobile eXploration Lab, as well as talking with the students about Maryland STEM career pathways and companies. Students also will have the opportunity to participate in the Micropipette Challenge, learning how to use a fundamental piece of scientific equipment and creating a visible spectrum by following a laboratory protocol.
