STEM education nonprofit Learning Undefeated is introducing new board chair, Elizabeth Huntley, and two new board members, Kerron Duncan and Lisa Carlton, as well as launching a new goal to prepare one million students for STEM careers within the next five years.
Learning Undefeated, a nonprofit organization that provides innovative and experiential STEM education programs, announced today that Saketh Sundar, a junior at River Hill High School in Rockville, Maryland has won the 2022 Maryland BioGENEius Challenge.
For the first time, the Drop Anywhere Lab Two-part Experience by Learning Undefeated was chosen as a finalist in the STEM (science, tech, engineering, math) solution awards category. The EdTech Awards recognizes people for outstanding contributions in transforming education through technology to enrich the lives of learners everywhere.
The centerpiece of the new program is Learning Undefeated’s Drop Anywhere Lab, a traveling science laboratory housed in a shipping container, which travels to a new school each week providing a field trip experience right in the school parking lot. The program engages local students with STEM concepts through hands-on projects on board the mobile lab and introduces them to in-demand STEM careers located right in their own backyard.
