The Caliber family of brands, including Caliber Collision alongside Caliber Auto Care add Caliber Auto Glass, is committed to living its purpose, Restoring the Rhythm of Your Life® in the communities it serves across the country. Caliber continues to invest and collaborate in programs that support professional development in the automotive services industry, including influencing the next generation of technicians.
Caliber is partnering with two national nonprofits, TechForce Foundation® and Learning Undefeated, both of which are dedicated to workforce development in technician careers and science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) experiences for students from under-resourced communities. The partnership presents high school students in Maryland and Texas with career opportunities and hands-on experience with the latest technology in collision repair. Through this immersive program, students will receive tours, one-on-one demos and engage with auto body technicians in a live shop environment at Caliber Collision locations, using the resources of Learning Undefeated’s Mobile Exploration Lab (MXLab).
The MXLab is the country’s largest, most advanced mobile STEM education vehicle. The vehicle was custom designed by Learning Undefeated to expand new technology and laboratory science experiences and pique students’ interests in STEM learning and careers. Students have the opportunity to learn about Caliber’s Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) and engage in vehicle-related activities such as timed assembly challenges, remote control car racing and more. The program runs through December and features after-school and weekend events.
