At Learning Undefeated, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to explore, create, and discover through STEM. In honor of National STEM Day, we’re sharing a curated selection of classroom-ready materials and activities designed to inspire and engage.
What’s new this year? Our programs are expanding! We’re building new labs, hiring new team members, and developing new activities for students across the country. Together with our supporters and community partners, we’re leveling the playing field for students in under-resourced areas, equipping them with the skills and confidence to make their mark on the world.
New Curriculum for 2024/25 School Year
We’ve been working hard to build, test, and launch new curriculum for the 2024/25 school year. Special thanks to our DSEC partners for supporting these new activities. Here’s what’s new:
Meets NGSS and Virginia Physical Science and Physics Standards
- Students learn about the relationship between voltage, current, and resistance. They will understand how devices like a three-speed fan or a dimmer switch adjust the flow of electricity in a circuit to have different outputs. Download the student handout here.
Who Are Your Friends?: A Cybersecurity Mystery, Grades 5-12
Meets National, Maryland, and Virginia Computer Science Standards
- We developed this activity with Northrop Grumman to help students understand safe internet use through the lens of cybersecurity. They will act as members of the school’s cyber-defense team to help a student clear their name of accusations and walk the stage at graduation. Download the student handout here.
