STEM Champions Senator Nancy King, AT&T Executives Join Students on MdBioLab
Students at Watkins Mill High School will climb aboard Maryland’s only mobile bioscience lab for high school students Wednesday, October 22. MdBioLab, a 45-foot custom-built mobile bioscience laboratory, visits schools across Maryland to enable students to explore the life sciences through captivating experiments ranging from crime scene forensics to the diagnosis of diseases. The lab is operated by the MdBio Foundation and has provided “hands on” STEM education to more that 110,000 Maryland middle and high school students for the past 11 years.
Joining students will be State Senator Nancy J. King (Montgomery County) and La Tara Harris, AT&T’s regional director of external affairs. Senator King and AT&T are longtime supports of stronger bioscience education in Maryland.
