Learning Undefeated Unveils Immersive STEM Experience at Gaithersburg Middle School Supported by AstraZeneca

By eighth grade, nearly 50 percent of all US students lose interest or see STEM as irrelevant to their future, threatening the STEM leader pipeline of tomorrow. Through our partnership with Learning Undefeated we hope to inspire students to pursue careers in STEM that will develop solutions for tomorrow’s challenges.

At Learning Undefeated, we are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in STEM education. The Breakout Box came out of our ‘start with yes’ leadership approach, where we push ourselves to make STEM education more interactive and personal. Our educators are constantly innovating, energized by creating new and exciting ways to introduce students to all the possibilities that are out there for them.

Nonprofit Joins Forces with Nation’s Leading Port Authority to Bring Student-Led Environmental Sustainability Adventure to Area Schools

“When students step into the PORT-Able Learning Lab, they are immersed in an adventure that requires them to use the practices of science and engineering while learning how to be good environmental stewards,” said Jennifer Colvin, Chief Innovation Officer of Learning Undefeated. “The Port of Corpus Christi generates nearly one hundred thousand jobs in our Coastal Bend community. This new PORT-Able Learning Lab allows future innovators to explore career paths in the maritime industry and learn about real-world considerations, like time, budget, and environmental factors.”

‘Port-able’ learning lab makes its way to Corpus Christi

“I think it can be kind of like eye-opening for people who want a career in this kind of topic,” said sophomore Audree Alvarado. The program is a partnership between the port of Corpus Christi and Learning Undefeated. It’s a non-profit that encourages students to get involved with science, technology, engineering and math.
