Learning Undefeated debuted its Breakout Box: Manufacturing Mission, a first-of-its-kind immersive learning experience designed to introduce students to manufacturing skills and careers. This futuristic mobile learning pod travels to schools, engaging students in a fast-paced, escape-room-style challenge focused on key manufacturing concepts like efficiency, scheduling, and quality control.
“The future of our economy belongs to the makers, and manufacturing careers are the future,” said Learning Undefeated Chief Innovation Officer Jennifer Colvin. “Through our new Manufacture Your Path program, we want students to know that these high-paying, high-tech jobs are waiting for them right here in their hometown.”
The initiative kicked off on Jan. 31 with a ribbon-cutting at Ranchview High School in Irving, TX, where 300+ students competed in a heist-themed mission. Supported by a $1.2 million Caterpillar Foundation grant, the program aims to bridge the skills gap by connecting STEM concepts to real-world job opportunities.
Part of Learning Undefeated’s Manufacture Your Path program, the Breakout Box is one of several initiatives designed to modernize manufacturing career education. Additional components include curriculum kits, educator training, and Manufacturing Night events. The mobile learning lab will visit over a dozen Texas high schools this spring, with stops in Dallas, Waco, Seguin, San Antonio, and Houston. Schools may apply for a visit from the mobile lab online.
