The flagship of Learning Undefeated is a 45-foot traveling laboratory, a hands-on experiential learning space for students which can accommodate classes of up to 32 students. The mobile laboratory is fully self-contained, with its own power and water supply.
Onboard the lab, students learn by doing. Every student uses advanced equipment and scientific concepts. Through these experiences, students will be able to continue their STEM-based education, learn STEM skills, and reengage with learning in a supportive and positive atmosphere.
Learning Undefeated offers proven hands-on activities that teach a variety of STEM topics. Schools will be able to choose biology, chemistry, and environmental science activities suitable for grades 6-12.
Learning Undefeated’s curriculum includes laboratory activities appropriate for a variety of classes ranging from basic biology and chemistry to AP biology and environmental science. All activities are focused on problem-based learning with real-world applications that align with Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Activities include common bioscience techniques such as DNA extraction and agarose gel electrophoresis, and relevant themes such as alternative fuels, bioengineering, and crime scene investigation. As a mobile unit, Learning Undefeated can serve a different school each day or serve a single school for a longer period of time. A typical visit will offer up to five classes per day onboard the trailer. Individually tailored visits are coordinated with teachers and administrators to best meet their school’s priorities and needs.
The Learning Undefeated program provides teachers with a turnkey experience, including all equipment, reagents, lab supplies, and the student/teacher handouts necessary to complete each activity. Below is a list of some of the equipment and supplies we typically provide to each teacher. Visits will be customized for each school’s needs.
Learning Undefeated, a nationally recognized, award-winning nonprofit organization with a proven track record of success, has nearly twenty years of leadership in the mobile education space. Our mobile laboratory program has served more than 150,000 students since 2003.
The organization’s programs consistently receive accolades from school district administrators, teachers, students, families, community leaders, and elected officials.
